Lauren and Mark's Winchester wedding back in April was a real highlight. Lauren came to us with a very clear brief on the exact look and feel she wanted, her inspiration being Frida Kahlo for both colour and style. She's hugely creative in her personal life as well as in her career so it was a total pleasure to work with her and be involved in such a beautiful and unique wedding.
The flowers played a big part in setting the tone for the day; colourful, playful and plentiful. We provided flowers for the bride, bridesmaids as well a lovely array of buttonholes featuring Asclepsia, Craspedia, Delphinium Butterfly, Germini Bokito Icelandic Poppies, Ranunculus, Golden Mustard roses, Vuvuzuela Roses and Magenta Stocks to name just a few of the beautiful, vibrant blooms.
The flowers for the reception party at The Green Man continued in the same theme but we also mixed in succulents, cacti and maidenhair ferns, planted up in copper pedestal bowls and troughs which were placed down the long table, atop the fireplace and on the cake table too.
Finally, we provided flowers and cacti for Lauren to get creative with. For place settings, mini cacti with coloured flowers were potted up into bright pots, hand painted by Lauren herself in a range of co-ordinating colours. She also decorated initials in blooms as a statement piece at the reception.
As you can see from the pics, it was a day spilling over with true style and joy. One of those dream floristry jobs.
