Our adventures in floristry...

Embracing Change

If you've stepped into the Winchester store recently you may have noticed a few changes and some new faces. Yes, the last couple of months has seen a flurry of activity, refitting the shop and putting a new team in place. And we couldn't be happier to be heading into the busy Christmas period with everything having come together so nicely.

We've got a lovely long, sweeping counter to serve from hung with dried flowers; a huge new central table to display all of our plants on and to host workshops around; a fresh new lick of gorgeous pale pink paint on the walls; new card and wrap shelves to hold even more from our favourite designers; a stunning dried flower chandelier hanging from the ceiling plus a fab retro sink and tiled splashback.

Fi, who you may be familiar with, has taken over the reigns as Shop Manager, and we now have Lucy as Head Florist, bringing a wealth of experience having previously run her own shop. Jessie has started as a Junior Florist and is showing huge flair, while Amelia rejoins Catkin, working across both our Winchester and Four Marks stores, having gained some great floristry experience 'up north'. Andrea remains in her role as Events Manager and Ellie is back in action having taken time out to study for her MA.

And with all the change and positivity comes a renewed commitment to standards, with the new team coming together for masterclasses in styling and the all important conditioning of flowers to ensure quality. We're going to follow up with more on this soon, as well as properly introduce the new team, but for now, here's a look at the 'new' shop.
